Splintered Across Infinity is a post-storyline DLC available for purchase in the Event Shop for 100 EP. Once activated in your inventory your current storyline mission is replaced with the "Splintered Across Infinity" storyline the moment that you come in contact with the quest trigger, which is located on the pathway from CR to Earth. This story pits you against your strongest rival yet...YOU! Each one of them is your level with your stats, adjusted to fit their race accordingly(I.E. If you're a quincy and the NPC you is a shinigami with an attack based zan your rei damage and attack stat will be switched).

    Mission 1: A Handsome Stranger

On your way from The Crossroads to Earth you encounter...YOU! A stranger mimicking your stats and look appears accusing you of being "One of those splinters created by HIM!" A prompt appears after the exchange, asking if you're ready to take yourself on. Choosing yes pits the two of you against each other in an arena that looks similar to a frozen crossroads with the up, down, and left paths shattered. Defeating the enemy sends you back to where you accepted the mission with a shinigami equivalent of yourself standing in front of you. He tells you that this is all his fault and that you should seek him out in his hideout, a hollowed out tree in Hueco Mundo(trying to enter this tree prior to this mission would tell you "A powerful yet familiar force keeps you from entering").

    Mission 2: Long Way Down

After you enter the tree and speak with yourself you learn how this all began. He tells you that he'd been meditating with his zanpakutou trying to learn his bankai and felt he'd made a breakthrough when all of the sudden his sword disappeared and he was attacked by another version of himself/yourself who was also a Shinigami, yet wielded a completely different zanpakutou. During the struggle between the two more and more versions of yourself appeared and he eventually fled into your world and hid from all of them until meeting you. He tells you that he also believes you were followed and wants you to go investigate your new stalker. Walking around Hueco Mundo for a moment triggers the encounter with an Arrancar version of yourself, resureccion random, and defeating them returns you to your original location. Speaking to yourself again proceeds into the next mission.

    Mission 3: This Is Madness!

As you're speaking to your allied doppleganger you both feel another you appear, this time he is causing chaos by fighting the Karakura Town Heroes. Find them in Urahara's basement and defeat them! When you arrive at Urahara's you discover that it isn't one enemy but two. You must defeat a Quincy and a Sado version of yourself at the same time! Once you defeat them they talk briefly before both dying and fading away blaming "Him and that damn sword".

Mission 4: Truth Will Set You Free

You return to the hollowed tree and speak to the other you once more, telling him what the other two walked about and that you think they're blaming you. After talking to himself briefly he says that it can't be him and that you must have turned against him too. His zanpakutou appears and he uses his shikai "Splinter, Osoroshī Hansha" to send both of you to another area similar to the crossroads, this time with four pathways leaving the center that all lead you into the same winding maze that you are currently at the center of. Progressing through the maze you find multiple dazed version of yourself, each one in a hypnotic state. Attacking them causes them to aggro but there is a way to cause them to snap out of their daze and assist you in the coming confrontation. Finding the exit portal inside of the maze will trigger the fifth section of the DLC.

Mission 5: This is why we can't have nice things.

Having entered the portal you encounter your former allied self once more wielding his zanpakuto, a translucent crystaline rapier, and an immobile monster standing behind him that looks like half a man wearing a mask made of a shattered mirror. The creature claims to be Osoroshī Hansha, his zanpakuto, and that it is also in complete control now. To prove this, he sends out his wielder to attack you. It is at this moment that one of three things will happen prior to the fight. A) If you managed to snap your dopplegangers in the maze out of their hypnotic state, they will join you in the fight against him and his zanpakutou. B) If you did NOT snap them out of their daze, they will join HIM against YOU. C) If you killed the two of them, they will not appear during the fight. The fight continues as a 3v1, 1v3, or 1v1. If you die during this part and you reenter the hollow tree and try speaking to your allied self again a prompt will say "This is only a reflection. Would you like to proceed into the maze?" to allow you reentry into this fight. Upon defeating the zanpakutou's wielder it will scream and curse you and begin to attack you himself. Though it is immobile and cannot move from against the top wall it's series of attacks are hard to dodge. It will occasionally either scream or slam its left or right hand down causing a 3x3 tremor to cut across the ground and damage you. If you are too far away it will spit bala-like blasts within a reasonable cooldown that will home in on you. Standing too close just causes it to slam its hands down as its melee attack. It's most serious attack is "Line: Reflect!" which is a single tile wide beam similar to Power Burst. If it hits you you incur no damage, but a copy of you with your stats and 100 wounds appears, making it easy to simply KO and dispatch from the fight. Line: Reflect!" is only useable every 120 seconds. Once you defeat Osoroshi Hansha it will explode into a flash of light and leave you and it's wielder in a large white area.

    Mission 6: Judgement Day

Once you and the last one of you are left he begs you to let him live and master Osoroshi Hansha so that it doesn't take control of him anymore, which triggers a prompt option. The first option, the good ending, has you let him live and sends you back to the CR and seals the Hollowed Tree from being able to be reentered with a large exp and money reward. The second option, the evil ending, has you attack him and attempt to take Osoroshi Hansha for yourself. This triggers a fight between the two of you in which he has access to all of your combat abilities and stats, with the addition of being able to use Osoroshi's "Line: Reflect!" attack. If you lose you are sent back to your spawn having fulfilled the "third ending" which is failure. Defeating him completes the evil ending and tells you that after killing yourself a piece of the Osoroshi Hansha zanpakutou broke off during the fight and you kept it, placing it in your inventory. Your reward from this is half the exp and money of the good ending + the Osoroshi shard. When equipped it adds +25 unhealable wound to your wound meter and grants you the "Line: Reflect!" ability. Using this on any combatant NPC or PC has you summon a Reigai equivalent of themselves to fight against them once every 5 minutes.

This has been Hito with "Splintered Across Infinity". I hope you all enjoyed it and I look forward to potentially seeing it in the game!
