    Custom Powers and Abilities:

    Basis behind the idea:

    First we need to look at what's been revealed so far. Every Zanpaktou is different and based on their user's soul. All Shinigami start with an Asauchi which is imprinted with the user's soul given time and so forth and so on. For this to work, part of the start of the game would have to be altered slightly. For Shinigami players at least, adding in perhaps not even a percentile of story.

    Result of the idea:

    This will not only allow you bragging rights of custom Zanpaktou but will add in a level of equality that might be easier for staff as well as fun for players.

    What this adds:

    Shinigami differ slightly at the start of the game then the other races. Upon here the Shinigami would need to be directed to receive(or be told they received) an Asauchi. Upon which the user can go do normal story-line quests. At 150(Shikai) The player must start the story line quests about Shikai(Or relevant powers) Where you talk to the person to gain it. Upon talking to them you are presented with the Customization screen. Here is where things get a tad different.

    The screen will have a few options which lead to other screens. Lets talk about these in order of them having to be done:

    Sealed Form:

    This is simple and easy to do. What happens here is you chose what type of sword you want. There will be a few different choices:



    • Katana
    • Wakizashi
    • Nodachi
    • Tantou



    Katana is as it is now. A simple sword in the hand and with an added icon of a sheath on the side. And when NOT using your sword it will appear as a sheath with a sword in it.

    Wakizashi is a smaller version but has two options. These options will be either to place it on your back(Like Soi Feng) or have it on your side. If done on your side, well, then it looks like a smaller Katana.

    Nodachi is basically a really big sword. This being said, how it would work is a sheath would be worn on your back like Hitsuguya. With that, the blade looks fairly normal in hand since larger swords might screw up the icon, but we can try anyway.

    Tantou is a bit harder. Since this is basically the size of a dagger it will stay how it is now. No sheath, no look of any sort that you have one minus the interesting ability to equip it. The Icon for the blade will be significantly smaller then what it is now.

    Visual Structure:

    Here you get the structure of the zanpaktou. By this I mean you get to take the look of the person's Zanpaktou you like. So if you like say, Ichigo you get Ichigo's look. If you like say, Mayuri's Zanpaktou you get his looks. And so forth. The main part here is to decide the look and colors of your Zanpaktou.

    (insert the names of the people/Zanpaktou)
    (insert generic picture of each here for players to see what it looks like in game)

    Attribute:

    Here is a bit different now. This is where we come to the nitty gritty. This is the actual power of the Zanpaktou. You will get a series of different things that describe the basic element/power behind it. Like:

    Ice
    Fire
    Lightning
    Darkness
    Light
    Nature
    Poison
    etc..etc..

    These would of course in turn dictate the powers. So if you chose Lightning I would suggest something like stun. And of course fire a burning affect, maybe a DOT. Ice well, that would be like Hitsuguya Freezing, And poison would be Mayuri.

    Of course the other races will be easier but along the same lines.

    Call Phrase:
    Also known as the Kiego, or the phrase to call the Zanpaktou.

    Shikai Name:
    The name of the Zanpaktou

    Bankai Name/Type:
    A second name to cal lthe Zanpaktou in Bankai such as Tensa. the type is simply like saying Bankai, or Ban...Kai.. or lastly

    BAN...

    KAI!




    Conclusion:
    Being this as a suggestion it's entitled to be shot down. I of course welcome any critique as it is a suggestion xD I expect it to be modified in some way shape or form by the end of you reading this since everyone has their own opinions. And lastly, it would definatly add a layer of both balance as well as giving the player a sense of really owning the character. It'd be easy to take the same for Resses and so forth.

    Love it... As long as the zan's in the game already stay lol More to choose from less likely to run into 10 ppl with the same. One thing though, What if you don't want an element. Just a straight up power house type of Zan (Ichigo/Kenpachi comes to mind) or one with other types of special things (Weighing down/A Bleed type of effect) I guess those could be added without much trouble.

    I have iconned custom zans before and that is pretty easy, the coding part though might get a little annoying because everyone will want there zan and there skills etc

    I think this is a wonderful idea and in due time could be implemented to great effect. It could create a wide variety of different zan's with each part of its construction, not only being an aesthetically pleasing thing to the personal choice of the user, but perhaps also having an effect on the abilities and power of that particular weapon. Perhaps a certain length could contribute to its power and speed, elements pertaining to added effects whether they be damage, status effects (IE: poison, paralysis, blind, maybe a rei drain type thing, etc etc), as well as what skills that particular zan is eligible to receive. 

    So, it could go beyond just being an aesthetic thing to please the community into having their own weapons, but also being a revolutionized way of creating ones weaponry. Of course this would require a decent amount of coding and reworking of the way the current system is and would be up to the staff who deal with that. That's about it lol, spreading my opinion around the world xD!!
